Sam and I just got back from a long nearly two hour hike. We had an absolute blast. There's nothing quite like starting out your hike on a hot afternoon fresh and ready to go and then returning to your car muddy and smelling of wet dog.
We almost got ran over a few times when we left the trail and hit the road back to the car. Some people fly through Umstead (a really large park in NC) even though the speed limit is 15 mph. At least the dog and I got intimately acquainted with roadside and ditch foliage. Ha!
I spent four hours today beginning the drudgery of teaching myself precalculus. I want to be prepared before class starts on the 18th. I'm not the best at math, it's one of the subjects that I have to seriously apply myself at to understand, but I need two precalculus courses to graduate so I have to suck it up and finally get to it.
I think I'm going to lock myself in the computer room and play a few video games for a few hours at this point. The dog is crashed out, the cat is under the chair asleep and I'm bored!

That is one of my transports out of the world, because the holladeck really doesn't exist yet.
I recently got hooked into my PS3, I bought Oblivion but my hubby's rock band has me hooked, I never thought I would play, but after a coolie one night...well the rest is history in the making.
And Umstead is great for hiking because so few people get on the trails. You know North Carolina doesn't like to exercise and god forbid it step outside where nature might rub off on it.
