Girl and Dog in the City

Can You Be Nagged To Death?
Back to Full Blog

The wedding was actually pretty darn successful. It was more so a reception that we attended. I, yes I know you shudder to hear this, actually danced. I did learn something during that quick jaunt across a crowded dance floor - I can't slow dance worth shit. And neither could my partner because my toes are still complaining.

I found a neat little blog called Butterbeehappy.com. The point of this blog is incredibly simple. You merely log 5 things each day that are happy thoughts or experiences. Supposedly, according to this website, studies show that if you do this you will actually become happier. If that's the case, then I just suspect it's a re-wiring of your brain sort of thing in regards to thinking more positively each day. Regardless, I've been trying it out for three days now. It's cute. Look me up if you want - I'm PeppermintSimian there.

I have been having the most asinine dreams lately. I'll give you a quick example: I was walking home and bumped into this woman on the road who had converted her shopping cart into a two-seater vehicle. Apparently, this woman is out looking for her poodle and asks if I can come along to help. "Ooo...kay..." and in the front of the shopping cart I go.

...and go....

ROCKETING down a steep hill without any steering whatsoever and vehicles rushing past me willy nilly. All the while this crazy lady in the back is laughing maniacally.

Finally, we stop and I leap out of the shopping cart and bid her farewell while dashing back toward my house. Poodle be damned.

Ah, sweet coffee. Speaking of which, I'm hitting up one of our local cafes this afternoon for some studying and writing. I love the home owned cafes the best in this town. They have personality.

Bug:

Here is one interpretation of your dream:

Dreams of driving in a car or other vehicle often symbolize a desire to escape. Cars and other forms of transportation represent freedom, and dreaming of driving, especially of driving fast, can symbolize a desire to get away from an unpleasant or undesirable task.

Dreams about car crashes or near misses can symbolize the feeling of being out of control. Such dreams often occur when you are feeling overwhelmed by pressure and unable to cope with the stresses of everyday life.

Dreams in which you are the passenger instead of he driver can also symbolize this sort of lack of control. This is especially true if the vehicle in the dream seems to be out of control. Such dreams may signal a need to relax and avoid additional stress.

Hope this helps.

Anexplorer: Yup! The time of year when everyone has to run like heck away from an explosive they just set fire to for fun.

"The time of year when everyone has to run like heck away from an explosive they just set fire to for fun."

Ah Nightbug, what is life without a little drama?

Anexplorer: Yup, and what is life without a few first degree burns to prove you're having a good time.

While the fireworks were going here last night it was also thunder storming really heavy duty. The lightning was amazing. It was a clash between lightning and fireworks every few seconds in the sky. I had a third story view from the top of a hill on my apartment balcony of it all.
